Terms of Use

No fine print. This is how we work together - what we do for you, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

These terms govern the relationship between you and Slashrunner when you order a build, hosting, maintenance or any other service of ours.

Last updated: October 2026.

Accepting these terms

These Terms of Use (the Terms) govern the relationship between Slashrunner, registered at Veselina Masleše 116, 21113 Novi Sad, Republic of Serbia, company number 66947718, tax number (PIB) 113609475 (we, Slashrunner) and you as the client (you, the client), when you use our services: building websites and applications, hosting, maintenance, SEO and related services.

By ordering a service, accepting a quote or using our portal, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. If there is anything you do not agree with, tell us before we start - we can always talk it through.

We work with both individuals and companies - anyone can order a site from us. To take online payments through the site (a web shop) you do need to be a registered company or sole trader, because payment processors and the applicable rules require it.

Our services

We build custom websites, web shops, booking systems and other web applications, and we keep them running through hosting and monthly maintenance plans. The exact scope of each project is set out in advance, in a quote we both confirm.

The price covers what the quote lists. Additional wishes and changes outside the agreed scope are handled as separate work, with the price and timing agreed beforehand.

Quote, order and how a project runs

Every project starts with a quote. It says what we will do, what is included, the price and an approximate timeline. A quote stands until you accept it or until the date given on it passes.

Once you accept a quote, that is our agreement on scope. We usually need material from you to work (copy, logo, images, account access) - if that is late, the timeline moves by the same amount.

Changes along the way are normal. Larger ones can affect the price and the timeline, and we agree them with you before doing the work - no surprises.

Prices and payment

The build is paid once, according to the accepted quote. Hosting and maintenance are paid as a monthly or yearly subscription to the plan you choose.

The price you accept is the price you pay - no hidden costs. We are not registered for VAT (Article 33 of the Serbian VAT Act), so no VAT is calculated or added to the price. We invoice as agreed in the quote.

All prices are stated in euro (EUR). Clients who are residents of the Republic of Serbia are invoiced and pay in dinars, converted at the National Bank of Serbia middle rate on the invoice's issue date - the rate and that date are printed on the invoice itself. Dinar amounts are rounded to the whole dinar. Clients outside Serbia are invoiced in euro.

Because the price is tied to the euro, the dinar amount on a subscription invoice can differ from month to month - that is a change in the exchange rate, not a change in price. Your plan's price in euro stays the same until we tell you about a change in advance, as described below.

If an invoice goes unpaid, we will contact you first. If it stays unpaid for longer we may temporarily pause part of the service (for example publishing changes) until it is settled - and we always tell you before we do.

We reserve the right to adjust the prices of hosting and maintenance plans (for example because servers and memory get more expensive, or the market changes). We will tell you about any change to your plan's price in advance, a reasonable time before it takes effect. If you do not agree with the new price, you can cancel the plan before it comes into force, as described in Subscription and cancellation - continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new price.

Subscription and cancellation

You can cancel a monthly plan whenever you like - no lock-in, no minimum term, no penalty. You switch auto-renewal off yourself, in your project's Billing tab in the portal (or just tell us). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period: an already paid period is not refunded, but you keep using the service until it runs out.

Services billed periodically - both monthly and yearly plans - renew automatically for the next period for as long as the service is active. For each new period we charge the payment card saved on your account; if no card is connected, we send you an invoice to pay manually instead (for example by bank transfer).

A yearly plan is activated on the day your site goes live, or on the day you later move from a monthly to a yearly plan, and runs for 12 months from that day. While it is active, it renews automatically for the next period, and we bill the first year and every renewal as described above: charged to your saved card, or we send you an invoice if no card is connected. You stop the renewal by switching auto-renewal off in your project's Billing tab in the portal (or telling us) before the current period ends. You keep using the period you have already paid for until it runs out.

When a plan ends, so do the services it covers (hosting, monitoring, backups, support). Before anything is switched off we hand you your data and content, and the site with its source code as set out in Intellectual property, so nothing is lost - see also If we ever stop and Term and termination.

Intellectual property

Once the project is finished and all obligations are settled, you become the owner of the site we built for you, including its source code. Until then, you are free to use the site in your business. As the owner, you have an unlimited right to use it, change it and keep maintaining it, yourself or through anyone you choose, including moving it to another provider (see Term and termination and If we ever stop). Ownership does not include the right to resell, sublicense or distribute the site or any part of its code to third parties as a standalone product.

The domain is registered in your name from day one. Your brand stays entirely yours: the name, logo, copy, images and any other material you give us, along with the data the site collects, always belong to you.

One exception to your ownership of the code: our general, reusable development components, meaning the tools and building blocks shared across our projects. We keep those and may use them on other projects too. You have a free, permanent right to use and change them as part of your site, even after you stop working with us. We never reuse your brand, your content or your data on other projects.

Third-party open-source libraries the site uses stay under their own licenses.

Your content and your obligations

You are responsible for the material you give us and for having the right to use it (copy, images, logos, fonts, data). If you hand us somebody else's protected material without permission, that is on you.

You use the site and our services lawfully - no illegal, fraudulent or harmful content, and no abuse (sending spam or breaking into other people's systems, for instance). In case of serious abuse we may suspend the service.

Hosting, traffic and fair use

Our plans are sized for typical business traffic. If your traffic and/or email volume grows past the limits of your plan, we will get in touch and suggest moving up to a bigger plan and a stronger server - so the site stays fast and stable.

This is about fair use of resources. Sustained high traffic, large email volumes or unusual load may call for a higher plan. We never switch anything off without warning - we talk to you first.

Data and privacy

We use your data, and the data your site processes, solely to provide the service - to keep the site running, to invoice you and to communicate with you. We do not sell it and we do not process it for anything else.

We access data only as far as running the service and supporting it requires, and we keep it on protected infrastructure (see Security). For visitor statistics we use Google Analytics, and only after you accept it on the cookie banner - without your consent it is not loaded at all.

For clients and visitors from the EU we act in line with the applicable data protection rules (GDPR). Everything about which data we collect, who we share it with and what your rights are is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Email communication

We send two kinds of email: service email (invoices, service notices, support), which is part of working together and cannot be opted out of, and occasional informational email.

You can unsubscribe from the informational list at any time, in one click - and we stop sending those. You still receive service email tied to your active service, because it is part of the service itself.

Security

We take security seriously: we use Cloudflare protection, SSL, regular security updates and backups, and we monitor the site. We do everything reasonable to keep problems from happening.

But let us be honest - in a time of fast-moving technology and artificial intelligence, absolute security does not exist for anyone. We cannot guarantee one hundred percent that an attack, a break-in or abuse will never happen.

So we do not take responsibility for damage caused by hacking attacks, third-party failures or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If something does happen, we are there to react quickly, restore from backup and get everything back to normal as soon as possible.

Site availability

We work to keep your site available as much as possible, and we monitor it continuously.

Occasional interruptions are still possible, because of planned maintenance, upgrades or problems at an infrastructure provider. We schedule planned maintenance so that it gets in the way as little as possible.

Third-party services

We rely on established providers - Cloudflare, Railway, Stripe for payments, domain registrars and email providers, for example. We have no influence over their outages, changes or terms, and we are not responsible for them.

By using the site you are indirectly subject to those services' terms where they are relevant (when a payment is processed, for instance).

Warranties and limitation of liability

We provide the service professionally and with care.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question in the 3 months before the event that caused the damage. We are not liable for indirect damage - lost profit, data lost through somebody else's fault, or business losses.

If we ever stop

If we ever stopped operating, you would not be left without a site. Your site, content and data belong to you, as set out in Intellectual property, and you get them in a usable form (a database and file export, and the source code of your site).

We will help you, within reason, to move the site to another host and keep it running. The point is that you are never locked in with us, and that your site outlives any change on our side.

Term and termination

Either side can end the relationship - you by cancelling the plan or terminating, we with reasonable notice, or immediately in case of serious abuse or unpaid debts.

After it ends we give you a reasonable window, and help, to take your data and content with you, and the site with its source code as set out in Intellectual property. After that we may delete the data from our infrastructure, except what we are required to keep (invoices, for instance, because the law says so).

Force majeure

Neither side is liable for delay or non-performance caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control - an internet or provider outage, a large-scale cyber attack, natural disaster, war, strike or a decision of the authorities, for example.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time - when we add a service, for instance, or when a rule changes. For more significant changes we will tell you (by email or through the portal).

The date of the last change is at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and our relationship are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia. Any disputes fall to the competent court in Novi Sad.

Before any dispute we undertake to try to settle the matter by agreement first - most problems are solved by one conversation, and we are always available for one.
